The research branch of Tri-State College of Acupuncture sponsors symposiums for researchers, practitioners and others interested in the development of research protocols for traditional Chinese medicine.

Focusing Institute

National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM)
The NCCAOM certifies acupuncturists and herbalists. The national boards, which they administer, are recognized as the decisive credential of competence in most states in America.
New York Open Center
New York Citys main holistic and new age learning center, the Open Center offers classes on everything from meditation to African drumming.
Traditional Acupuncture Institute (TAI Sophia) The TAI Sophia Institute in Columbia, Maryland offers acupuncture training based on the five elements of traditional Chinese medicine and the teachings of English osteopath and acupuncturist, Dr. J. R. Worsley. In addition, the institute offers many different classes on wellness including herbology, qi gong and the development of human potential.
Tri-State College of Acupuncture
The Tri-State College of Acupuncture in New York City offers a three-year acupuncture Masters Degree program. Although the curriculum at Tri-State is based on Dr. Mark Seem’s Acupuncture: Physical Medicine, classes cover a wide range of styles, and students are encouraged to gradually develop their own style of practicing.
